Hello everyone! I first and foremost am immensely sorry for the long period of absence. I promise that this will never happen again without forewarning. On another note, hopefully you all are excited for the holiday season! I know I am. May you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving (if you celebrate it, that is… if not, just have an awesome day)!

Dear Holidays,
My, have I missed you! You know, you are my favorite time of year. Truly, I mean it. I’m not trying to suck up or anything; you to me are like ball pits to little children. I just wanna roll in your comforty goodness and never get out. What? Comforty isn’t a real word? Oh, well then… You are worthy of the violation of spelling/grammar rules. I would do that for you, Holidays…even with all the grammar Nazis that naturally gravitate towards reading blog posts.
I love you because you are the reason ABC has the Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas. Yeah. Cheesy, but totally awesome.
I love you because you make me wear sweaters. Even better, you make other people wear sweaters, and everyone just looks so huggable in sweaters…and I love hugs. You do the math.
I love you because people always make good food when you come around. You are just a good food magnet aren’t you?
I love you because of Starbucks red cups.
I love you because you have Black Friday and other awesome Holiday sales.
I love you because there is no school or work.
I love you because you work wonders, Holidays.
I may sound clichéd, but you really do work wonders. I get to see people I would never see otherwise. Also, something about you makes everyone five bajillion times nicer. You have the power to unite and inspire, Holidays, and that’s something I’ve been trying to do my whole life. You manage to do that in just a few months. You crazy, Holidays, you crazy.
You totally need to give me some pointers…
Love and an abundance of hugs,
Trish
